RUTH LIGHT In loving memory of Ruth Irma Light (nee March) who passed away peacefully on October 12, 2010 at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 88. She joins in heaven her parents Thomas and Hazel, sisters Barbara and Marion, brother Don and her daughter Maureen. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 67 years, George, daughters Linda (Brian) Freeman, Wendy (Lorne) Jamison and Brenda (Alfred) Klein. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Gary, Dennis, Michael (Danielle), Marc (Jenny), Heather, Leanne (Ryan), Chris and great-granddaughters Amanda and Brittney and their mother, Debbie. Ruth was born in Aneroid, SK on January 6, 1922. Ruth was happiest when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the many canine companions. She enjoyed knitting/crocheting and her specialty slippers will be truly missed. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Meadowood Manor for their kindness and compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on October 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg MB R3C 4G2 or a charity of one's choice.
