RAMONA MUSTARD Our beloved mother, Ramona Jean Campbell Mustard (nee Lyle), passed peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital on October 13, 2010 surrounded by family. Mona was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Joe, and by her eldest son, Bob. She will be sadly missed by her children: Bonnie Phelps (Don), Laurie Mustard (Marly), Lynne Mustard (Bill Cordray) and by her daughter-in-law Dolly Mustard. Ramona will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Michele (Dr. Garth Campbell) and Mona; Tom and Shawn (Thanou Thirakul); Heather, Andrea and Lyle; and by her step-grandsons Christopher (Tessa Rogowski) and Simon. She was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Sarah, Ashley, Sean, Terri, Megan, Eric, Will, Tyler, Ryan, Faith, Leah, Keelan, Soleil and Case. Mona was born in Lyleton, Manitoba on October 25, 1918 and was looking forward to turning 92. As a girl she enjoyed gymnastics, fencing and swimming and when older, she was a gardener, golfer, curler, reader and an active member of the Anglican Church Auxiliary. Ramona and Joe helped found the Manitoba School for the Deaf and later in life she worked at the Hudson Bay Company. A very loving and caring woman, Mona was known for her sharp wit and excellent sense of humour, which her family greatly enjoyed. We wish to thank Dolly, and the staff and volunteers at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their care over the years. A memorial service will be held at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone, West St. Paul on Monday, October 18 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.
