Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGATHE MARIE PARISIEN (nee LARAMEE) January 23, 1924 October 14, 2010 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Agathe on October 14, 2010 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 86 years. Agathe is lovingly remembered by her children: Paul (Jeanne), Philippe (Rejeanne), Simone (Ron) Hénault, Alice (George) Doiron, Richard (Pat); her 10 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren and her two sisters Emilienne Poirier, Rolande (Noé) Gallant. Mom was predeceased by her spouse Octave, son André, parents Laure and Pierre, in-laws André and Rosalie, four brothers Philippe (Ida), Eugène (Berthe), Albert (Louise) and Georges; five sisters Sr. Marguerite Laramée, Germaine (John McCarthy, William Prairie), Blanche (Mathias) Gagnon, Georgeline (Louis) Laurencelle and Cécile (Léon) Parisien; brother-in-law Armand Poirier and sister-in-law Rosa (George) Saraillon. Agathe was born in La Broquerie, Manitoba then moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband Octave while working at Canada Packers. They were married in 1945 and began their lives together in St. Adolphe, Manitoba where they raised their family and worked side by side to establish their family run market garden. In her retirement years she was an active member in the Club Amicale where she enjoyed participating in numerous shuffleboard tournaments and other various activities. After the death of her husband, she moved to Winnipeg and resided at L'Accueil Colombien where she met and established many close friendships including those with Rose Sauvlet and Hélène Grégoire. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her niece Thérèse Saraillon for her continual support and companionship over the years. Prayers will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Adolphe Church on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. until the beginning of service. Interment to follow in St. Adolphe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lung Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation. DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
