Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTREVOR G. BARNES 1934 - 2010 On Thursday, October 14, 2010, Trevor joined the Lord while biking home from his post-retirement part-time job. Remaining to forever cherish Trevor's memory are his wife Gail; children, Leslie (Jason) Perring, Sheryl (Rob) Unruh, Karen Barnes (Cory Kornelsen), Lorne; grandchildren, Justeen, Drew, Jeziah, Laine and Jonah; mother-in-law Donna Salisbury; sister-in-law Diane Salisbury. His zest for life and good-natured eccentric approach will be missed by many. Trevor was born in London, England on November 23, 1934. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 where he studied and became an accomplished carpenter, plumber and electrician (a man of all trades - a real life Macgyver!). After a serious heart attack in 1986 at the age of 52, Trevor embraced to a new life. He sought jobs and volunteer positions that helped others: Agape Table, Special Needs, Senior Citizens Job Bureau, etc. He also discovered his love for biking. Trevor's passion had him biking over the entire continent through the years while enjoying his passion for God's great outdoors. He was very involved with Bethesda Church, which also played an incredible role in his life. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethesda Church, 1350 Grant Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Suite 200, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6. We love you Dad and are blessed to have had you in our lives.
