ANNE BARSKI November 6, 1919 - October 15, 2010 Peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2010, with her daughters by her side, our beloved mother has completed her life's journey of nearly 91 years. Left to cherish Anne's memory are her two daughters Audrey Hogue (Guy), Donna Wiebe (Milt); six grandchildren Randy Steffes (Jill), Trevor Steffes (Elaine), Tyler Hogue, Lance Hemminger (Eva), Keith Hemminger, Tracy Blahut (Dan); five great-grandchildren Christopher, Kaitlyn, Keira Anne, Michael, and Ben. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor, after a marriage spanning 60 years. Mother was born in the Oak Bank area and raised in a large farming family. She was a child in the Great Depression of the 1930s and grew to young womanhood during the uncertainties of the Second World War. Upon her marriage in 1945, she and her husband farmed in Ladywood, MB and eventually retired to a home in Beausejour. Throughout her life Mom shared an especially close relationship with her sisters, Mary and Irene. She was always most comfortable in her home and was an avid reader. Mom was devoted to her children and they were the focal point in her life. In time this devotion encompassed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the lights of her life. She leaves behind all the memories of her love and the generosity with which she always showered us. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 530 Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour, MB, with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves, presiding. Interment will follow in St. Mary Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to the amazing staff of Golden Links Lodge for their compassionate care of Mom during this past year and their many kindnesses to her. In lieu of flowers donations in Anne's memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
