Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS MAY SCOTT (nee WRAGGE) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Phyllis May Scott on Monday, October 18, 2010. Remaining to cherish her memory are her son John (Bonnie), her son Brian (friend Connie), her daughter Lorraine (Campbell), her daughter Susan (Ted), 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack), her daughter Arlene, and her daughter-in-law Sheron. Phyllis was born in Boissevain, Manitoba on December 19, 1921, and moved to Winnipeg at an early age. It was there that she met John Scott, and they were married on February 1, 1940, spending 50 years together before his passing in 1990. She spent her early working years at Eaton's and Canada Safeway, before settling in on a 25 year career with Dr. Terry Jolly in the Munroe Medical Clinic, where she made many friends and created many lasting memories. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the joy of her life, and she enjoyed all of the time spent with them. She followed all of their endeavors and took great pride in all of their accomplishments. She enjoyed a very special relationship with her granddaughter Kim. She baked her world famous Christmas cakes and Christmas shortbread for all of the family, and generously donated homemade Nanny cakes every week for many years to the WASO lunch program. She especially enjoyed her dinners with family at her favourite restaurant Smitty's, playing Bingo, or playing cards. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 at St. Saviour's Anglican Church, 690 Munroe Avenue, with Rev. Simon Blaikie and Rev. Ted Nimik officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Caregivers and staff at the Grace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Grace Hospice, St. Saviour's Anglican Church, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Neil Bardal Inc. We love you Mom, Rest in Peace
