Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN MARTIN (nee WOLOWIDNYK) John Martin (nee Wolowidnyk), aged 87 years passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from cancer complications. He is predeceased by his wife Margy who passed away in September of 2009. John is survived by his son Allan of Florida; nephew Ray Wolowidnyk of Winnipeg and cousin Elaine Kivisto of Regina. John was born and raised in Southern Saskatchewan working on farms and in Regina. He eventually moved to Winnipeg to start a Cleaning Company which he and Margy successfully ran until they were both in their 70s. John was always a joy to be around as many spontaneous parties would break out if one visited him. His good looks and charm always added to the fun. The funeral will be held in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, MB at 2:00 p.m, on Friday, October 22. The interment will follow the service in the Gimli Community Cemetery. A lunch will be served afterwards. All friends are welcome to attend. Please advise Gilbart Funeral Home if you are attending or staying for the lunch.
