Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) MANNERS SIMPSON May 12, 1923 - October 19, 2010 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Simpson on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home at the age of 87 years. Left to mourn Jack's memory is his wife Elaine; son Rick (Ursula); daughter Cari (Gord); grandchildren, Cale, Brett, Braeden, Taylor and Christopher; nieces and nephews, especially Maureen, Mark, Cec and Mary Beth as well as his loving sister Mary Harley and brother-in-law Stan Sharpe. He was predeceased by his son John and sister Patty. Jack started his career as a flight instructor for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and went on to enjoy a long and successful career with Investors Group Financial Services Inc. for 37 years. He liked spending his free time with his family and friends. He particularly liked spending time with them at the cabin at Falcon Lake. On Monday, October 25, 2010 Jack's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue with a reception to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be Gord Guenther, Cale Simpson, Brett Simpson, Braeden Guenther, Taylor Guenther, Mark Rathwell, Jim Harely and Bob Clarkson. Dad wanted to give special thanks to his son-in-law Gord for his love, companionship and care, and for sticking by his side so faithfully. The family would like to give special thanks to the truly wonderful staff at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home, especially the Nurses and Health Care Aides. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Unit 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to a charity of your choice. We are grateful for all that you have given us, for everything you have taught us. We love you; and we already feel the loss without you in our lives.
