Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HENRY HEINRICHS It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our dearly loved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, John Heinrichs, on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the age of 53. John leaves to cherish his memory, wife Nancy, the love of his life for 28 years, and their three children - Steven, Ryan (Emily) and Stephanie, and Curtis Felbel, adopted son. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Kathy (Robert) Derksen, Linda (Frank) Nedecky, Elaine (Brian) Hastmann as well as Nancy's brother Alan Hadley (Marilyn) and sisters Joyce (Bernie), Cindy (Robert), Cathy (Everard) as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. John is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Mary Heinrichs (Altona) and Nancy's parents, Harvey and Betty Hadley (Hemmingford, Quebec). John was born on July 24, 1957 and grew up in Rosenfeld, MB, graduating from WC Miller Collegiate. After attending Herzing College, John began his career in computers/technology at Turnbull and Turnbull, Consulting Actuaries, where he met Nancy and their journey together began. His career path led him to Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Co. where he worked for 30 years, up until the present time. John loved his work. He enjoyed his position as Accounts Manager and established many good friendships at Wawanesa through the years. He was a valued and dedicated employee. John was a wonderful husband and father - strong, caring and hard-working - always there for his family whether it was supporting his children in their sports activities or helping them to choose and pursue their career paths. Although he was quiet and unassuming, his sense of humour and love of life were evident. People were drawn to John for his calm, gentle nature, his ability to problem solve and his unfailing devotion to others. John enjoyed golfing, weight lifting, the gym, family times at Elkhorn Resort, travelling, time at the lake, as well as watching sports and quiet reading time. John was a good man and will be missed by many. Funeral services for John will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, with interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Nor-West Co-op Community Health Centre, 103 - 61 Tyndall Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2X 2T4 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 2B7.
