URSULA HEDWIG ZAPP (nee HILDEBRAND) We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Ursula Hedwig Zapp, aged 89 years, at Concordia Place on October 26, 2010. She was born in Berlin, Germany on May 3, 1921. In 1960 she immigrated to Winnipeg along with her husband and two children, Ingo and Heidi, where she resided until her passing. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Ingo (Ursula); daughter Heidi Pusnik; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister Gertraud Luedtke and brother-in-law Heinz Sachse of Winnipeg; relatives and friends in Canada and Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Erwin Zapp on September 30, 2003; parents Paul and Hedwig (nee Wiede) Hildebrand; brother Ulrich Hildebrand; sister Krista Sachse; and son-in-law Robert Pusnik. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street, with Pastor Albert Durksen officiating. Viewing prior to the service. Interment will take place at Mennonite Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff of Concordia Hospital and especially all the staff of Concordia Place and also the volunteers that made her stay on the 4th floor comfortable, enjoyable and fun.
