BERNICE THERESE LAWRENCE June 15, 1932 - October 28, 2010 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice Lawrence, beloved mother, Nama and great-grandmother on October 28, 2010. Left to cherish Bernice's memory are her daughter Terri Mestdagh, granddaughter Erica Mestdagh (Mike Foster) and great-grandson Benjamin. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, husband and son. Bernice lived a full life. She was an active member of the St. John Brebeuf choir and Al-Anon, where she was dedicated to helping others. She was retired from the Winnipeg School Division, and until her illness, spent many years at her beloved cottage in Matlock. Thank you to the staff of Charleswood Care Centre. A celebration of Bernice's life will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West at 11:00 a.m. Forever missed, never forgotten.   • I very much enjoyed Bernice's sunny, fun-loving personality through the Al-Anon fellowship. She was a positive and generous support for me in Al- Anon service work. Bernice was a person with whom a newcomer could feel comfortable. I share my sadness with the family in your loss.   • Hi Terry, I am so sorry to hear of Bernice's death. She was a wonderful friend to so many, especially a dear friend of Doris McLeod's and a dear friend of many who knew of her from Al-Anon. I met Bernice when we lived on the same block on Oxford Street so you know that goes back a long way. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
