ELAINE GAIL ROGOWSKI (nee HOUNDLE) Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, Elaine Rogowski, at the age of 58, passed away with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years, Jack; daughter Cynthia (Ray) Romanchuk; grandsons, Owen and Logan; son Jason (Christy); brothers, Allan (Diane), Larry (Janet) and Keith; nieces and nephews, Derek and Brent; Ainsley, Brock, Jessica and Carly. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Irene Houndle. Elaine was born January 31, 1952, and was raised on a Dairy farm in Petersfield. She married Jack and they were stationed in Gillam with Manitoba Hydro and later returned to Petersfield to raise a family. It was here where she became involved with the Dunhartwood Hall and other community events. Mom always kept herself busy. You could find her outside in the garden, cutting grass or in the flower beds. She loved canning, cooking and baking for herself and all of us. She loved spending time with all of her family and enjoyed having everyone at her place for the holidays. She loved to curl and when she was no longer able, she would watch it on TV and make her son-in-law sit by her side. In spite of her health problems, she took it all in stride, never once complaining about her situation. Mom's positive attitude and great sense of humour right until the end will be missed. No funeral service will be held, as Elaine's wish was to have a private family gathering. Flowers are gratefully declined.
