Very sorry to see this, it's been a long time since I had seen Bob. Bob was a hero to a lot of people and bands. All the help he would give to new and up and coming musicians. Seems as though a hero has fallen. Proud and always to have known you Bob. Wayne - Posted by: Wayne (Teendance party participent) on: Mar 19, 2019

In 1985 I was security at Superstore. I was going into the store when I recognized someone coming out. Before I could say anything, Bob stretched out his hand to say "Bob Burns Channel 7 Television." 25 years later (2010) during CTV Winnipeg's 50th anniversary I submitted an online tribute to Bob. On Christmas Eve I was watching "Scrooge" on CTV when a 50th anniversary commercial came on, and a voice read my online comment. My name was even on the screen! - Posted by: Rob (Viewer of CJAY / CKY / CTV) on: Jul 01, 2017

I don't know where to begin. I always watched Teen Dance Party and Bob and the Hits. What wonderful memories. Bob Burns brought the sounds and styles of rock'n'roll into our home that would have an incredible effect on our social values, attitudes and general approach to people and life. I had the opportunity to Bob when I was working at the Manitoba Museum and developing an exhibit on the history rock 'n'roll in Winnipeg. Bob's tv programs became an integral point of reference for my research. Rest in peace Bob - Posted by: Stan Carbone (televison viewer) on: Oct 23, 2012

Bob Burns took me under his arm in the early 60s. He allowed me to be his helper & side kick on Teen Dance Party. He got me a job as a writer for Teen Scene. He brought me together with longtime friends The Guess Who. He & Sheila Knowles introduced me to a wonderful girl friend Diane Landry, Bob Burns helped me grow & mature through a tough period in my life! I am eternally grateful to Bob! Rest in Peace! - Posted by: Robert Hickey (Friend) on: May 16, 2012

Growing up in the 1960's, the DJ was an important part of our young lives. And you what....they still are. Thanks Bob. - Posted by: Doug McKenzie (a fan) on: Jan 18, 2012
