EDITH BAILIE (WILLOX)
Born: Apr 13, 1925
Date of Passing: Oct 20, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH BAILIE (nee WILLOX) April 13, 1925 October 20, 2010 Peacefully, on a sunny fall day with her son by her side; Edith passed away after a lengthy and courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 85 years. Edith was born and raised in Medora, a farming community in southwestern Manitoba, and eventually moved to Winnipeg where she worked before marrying her late husband Norman Bailie. She was devoted to her three children, Brian (Marie), Joan (David) Duncan, and Cheryl Wightman, and was the proud grandmother or Meaghan Duncan. She was a generous, humble person, and succeeded in raising her three children who embodied her life lessons in their work and family lives. In compliance with Edith's wishes, a private family service will be held. Our family wishes to thank the staff at St. Boniface ER, the ICU staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and the 5th floor medical wings of 5U5 and 5U1 for their efforts, kindness and care during a difficult time in our lives. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 1P6.

Edith was my aunt-sister in law to my father, John Albert Bailie and mother Eva Bailie. I have fond memories of spending summer holidays in Brandon at Edith and Norman's place with my cousins Brian, Joan and Cheryl. I would love to get in touch with them if possible. - Posted by: Jackie Wilson (nee Bailie) (neice) on: Jul 09, 2014
