RUTH MAUTHE (nee SCHICK) On Friday, October 22, 2010, Ruth of Sherwood Park, Alberta, formerly of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 91 years. Left to cherish her many memories are her family; daughter Donalda and Ashley Jakeman; sister Bunny and Al Akitt of Toronto; cousin Dorothy Hannebauer of Salmon Arm; sister-in-law Ruby Mauthe of Neepawa, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eduard in August 1996 and her daughter Darleen in September 2010. In 1988, Ruth and Ed relocated to Edmonton to be close to their children. Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will follow. Memorial donations in Ruth's memory may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
