HELEN DOREEN EINARSON (nee STEFANSON) Helen Einarson of Winnipeg passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa on October 26, 2010. She is survived by husband John (Jack), of 62 years; son Ronald, his wife Yvonne and children Neal (Lori Milne) and Louise (Jesse) Serra; son John, his wife Harriett and children Matthew (Kelly) and Lynsey (Kory) Zelickson; great-grandson Shelby Einarson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on December 9, 1926 to Steinun and Stefan Stefanson. She was predeceased by sisters, Lillian (Victor) Anderson, Violet (Harold) Garnett; brothers, Ronald Roy' (Olga), Johann (Lena), Stefan (Olive). Helen received her elementary school education in Selkirk and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Winnipeg. She worked at various secretarial positions while she and Jack raised their family in Crescentwood. Helen enjoyed swimming at the Pan Am Pool, traveling, and volunteering at Crescentwood Community Centre. Her four grandchildren were the light of her life. Private family service will be held.
