ANDRE MAJOR Suddenly on October 11, 2010 Andre passed away at the age of 51 years. Predeceased by his father Charles and one brother Brian. Left to mourn his passing are his family, Aaron Major, Whitney Major, Danielle Gionet and Theresa Whitfield, his mother Rita, siblings Joy Coutts, Raymond Major, Nolan Major, Wendy Parker, Graham Major, Mark Major and Luna Roth. Andre attended St. James Collegiate and was married in 1982 in Victoria, B.C. In 1978 he joined the Royal Canadian Navy serving on the HMS Qu'Appelle and HMS Kootenay as a Marine Engineering Technician and achieving the rank of Master Sargeant. In keeping with Andre's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.   • PO2 Major and I served together at HMCS Chippawa....he was part of our "Guard". We also served together in Esquimalt many years ago. His father Charles "Uncle Charlie "nick name Uncle Charlie" Major...was a terrific and professional teacher at Stevenson Junior High in St. James. PO2 Andre Major....You have served your Country in an "Honorable" fashion. Now it is time to drop your anchor and rest my Naval Colleague.
