A. VICTOR GORDON 1922 - 2010 On October 27, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer, Vic our husband, father, papa and great-papa passed away at Shoal Lake-Strathclair Health Centre in Shoal Lake, MB. Vic served in the RCAF from 1940 to 1946 and has stayed in touch with many of his Air Force Buddies. He retired as the Audit Supervisor for the Manitoba Government Liquor Control Commission in 1979. Vic was predeceased by his parents, his sister Kitty and his son Graham Gordon. Remaining to cherish the memories and the wonderful things we did together are the love of his life Ev, his wife of 67 years; his daughter Bonnie, his grandson Jeff, granddaughters: Jill (Darryl), Jody (Jason), Robyn (Tom) and his very special great-grandchildren Curtis and A.J. Gamey and Jade Digby. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg Lyn and Hugh Coburn our home away from home; British Columbia and Ontario, as well as sisters-in-law Ria Bouchard, Patricia (Bob) Koski in Ontario and many friends in Shoal Lake and Winnipeg. In keeping with Vic's wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be held in the family plot in St. Vital Cemetery at a later date. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to Manitoba Autism Research Team, 771 Bannatyne Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 3N4. When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me. I want no rite in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little...but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss mebut let me go. For this is a journey that we must all take And each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan. A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss mebut let me go. Poet Unknown The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J.
