Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERTIE MCCORMICK July 26, 1916 - October 31, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gertie McCormick, after a lengthy illness, Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Concordia Hospital. Gertie is survived by her daughter Maureen (Tony) Rybak, son Hugh (Lorraine), grandchildren Ross (Donna) Rybak, Marni (Vern) Cook, Amber (Rob) Anderson, Patrick McCormick and by great-grandsons Braedon Rybak, Erik and Riley Cook and new great- grandchild expected in January, she is also survived by sister Ruth Nicholson and numerous nieces and nephews. Gertie was predeceased by her husband Patrick in 1987, five sisters and two brothers as well as infant grandson Christopher Rybak, and sister-in-law Catherine McCormick. Gertie was a founding member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Transcona and was devoted to her faith to the very end. She was also very involved with and served in various capacities within the L.W.M.L. for many years. She had great pride in her family. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Ave. West, Winnipeg, Pastor Harold Borchardt officiating. Interment to follow at the Thomson In the Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Ave. West.
