ELLEN RUTH SINCLAIR (nee MURDOCK) On November 1, 2010 with family by her side at the age of 94 our wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Ellen Ruth Sinclair, was called home to be with the Lord. Mom is survived by her children Frank (Florence) Wilson, Annette McCorrister, Annie (Lloyd) Bear, Irvin (Dolly) Wilson, Marcella McCorrister (Carl); daughter-in-law, Merle Wilson; 38 grandchildren, 99 great-grandchildren, 34 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by daughter, Irene (son-in-law, Tom Bear); son, Arnold Wilson, daughter, Edna (son-in-law, Donald Sinclair), son-in-law, Morris McCorrister; our dad, Alex Wilson, in 1956; second husband, Andrew Sinclair; her parents, Margaret and William Murdock; her brothers, Norman, Wilfred, John, Walter, Roy, Gordon, Murray, Jim; and her special friend who was like a daughter, Shirley-Ann Spence. After dad passed away, mom worked at Dallas General Store for many years to provide and care for her children. Mom was a strong believer in hard work and education, and having raised eight children alone she encouraged them all to be independent and hard-working. Mom would tell us stories of how she worked on the lake with her brothers and how she helped take care of them and her mom who was vision-impaired. As a young girl mom was saved and baptized at a little Pentecostal church in Fisher River. She was a Christian for most of her life and taught us all family values; she was a strong believer in the power of prayer. The family would like to thank the staff at Peguis Senior Centre, Percy E. Moore Hospital and Fisher River Senior Centre, as well as the Peguis Chief Council. A wake service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Glen Cochrane. Funeral will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Peguis Church, Peguis, Manitoba. Arrangements Entrusted To ANDERSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME Ashern, Manitoba 1-866-293-4951
