ALBERT (BERT) ANDERSON It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Albert (Bert) Anderson, beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great- grandfather, on November 2, 2010. Bert was born in Bissett, MB on November 3, 1930. He moved to British Columbia to pursue fame and fortune in mining, logging, and fishing. On April 2 1960, he married Dorothy Caldwell. He raised six children, Zena, Duane, Wes, Verne, Derek and Ralph. In 1981, he moved back to Manitoba. He worked in the courier industry until 1995. He then went to work for his son in the automotive industry. He instilled in all his children the value of hard work. Bert will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy, his six children, Zena and her children Joshua, Shane and Demarra, Duane and Annette and their children Aaron, Caleb and Lexi, Wes and Tammy and their daughter Sara, Verne and Terri and their children Megan and Tanner, Derek and his children, Paige and Tennessee, Ralph and Erin and their children Braden and Samantha. Bert is also survived by (brother) Cecil and Frieda, (brother) Bob and Eilene, (sister) Margie and Ray. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care ward. Their compassion and care made our father's visit a comfortable one. The service is being held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6 at Jehovah's Witnesses East Kildonan Congregation, 937 Gateway Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Street, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
