RONALD VICTOR CHARLES ELSASSER SR. Peacefully, after a lengthy illness at the age of 77, Ron Elsasser Sr. passed away with his family by his side at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife Stephanie of 55 years, his sons Glenn (Pamela), Wayne (Cindy), Ronald Jr., his grandsons Shawn and Scott and his furry best friend Sandy. Ron was born on September 29, 1933 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Most of his working days were in the construction business. In his earlier years he was an avid hunter, enjoyed a good game of bowling and loved gardening and the outdoors. His sense of humour was his greatest quality; he even made us laugh during his final days. He also enjoyed his many trips to the most beautiful place on earth Pisew Falls in Thompson, Manitoba. Family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital and the MICU at the Health Sciences Centre. Also many thanks for the ongoing support of family and friends, both near and far. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
