Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT CLARE HITESMAN On Wednesday, November 3, 2010, with his loving wife of 55 years by his side, Bob passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 75 years. Left to forever cherish Bob's memory will be his wife Gail; children Ann (Brian), Robert (Therese), and Jill (Randy); grandchildren Ryan, Chris, and Jennifer; step grandchildren, Quentin, David, and Rhys; as well as younger brother Donald (Kathy); sister-in-law Nancy and Jack Jefferson. He was predeceased by his older brother Richard. Bob was born June 4, 1934. He graduated from the University of Manitoba and then pursued a career in the investment business for twenty years. When he was 40 years old Bob decided to switch careers and pursue one in accounting. This expanded into management consulting and then into purchasing his own business that he and Gail operated until retirement. Reading, gardening, carpentry and golf were just some of the many hobbies and interests that Bob enjoyed. His favorite golf memories were with his Monday Putter League at the St. Charles Country Club and the Florida golf group (PMA). Bob was recently presented with his 50 year commemorative plaque from the Monday Putter League. He loved the family cottage at Arnes and took great pride in hosting parties in the Arnes Room which he designed and built by hand. Nothing brought Bob more joy than the love and company of his family. He loved them all dearly. In keeping with Bob's wishes no formal funeral service will be held. Friends and loved ones are invited to drop by 739 Park Blvd South on Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 2 to 4 pm for a Celebration of Bob's life. The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic team that responded so admirably and Dr. Alvin Schroeder for his ongoing care. In lieu of flowers the family asks that people make a donation to the charity of their choice.
