KEN COOMBS November 25, 1943 - November 1, 2010 Accidentally on November 1, 2010 Ken passed away while working on the farm. Ken is survived by his loving partner Gwen, son Michael and his wife Colleen and his beloved grandson Cody, brother David (Zelma) Coombs, sisters Evelyn (Harry) Wray, Irene (Phil) Rosenzweig, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his father Bert and his mother Anne. Ken was a man of many talents. He worked across Canada as a Retail Manager, Real Estate Agent and for the Federal Government as a Purchasing Agent. After retiring, he returned to Dauphin to his first love - farming. Ken was an avid Conservationist and animal lover. He will be missed by his pets Troubie, Nuisie and his constant shadow Poochie . Ken had a great passion for fishing. He took every opportunity to do so and nothing pleased him more than spending time at the Lake. A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Dauphin United Church, 37 3rd Ave NW, Minister Larry McPhail officiating, interment and reception to follow. Prior to the service, there will be a public viewing at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's memory would be greatly appreciated being made to the Dauphin Minor Hockey Association or the charity of one's choice. God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day and when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's safe landing net I'm peacefully asleep that in His mercy I be judged as big enough to keep.
