GWEN PAGET (nee CAMPBELL) April 21, 1913 - November 1, 2010 Peacefully, on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Extendicare Oakview Place in Winnipeg, Gwen passed away at the age of 97. She will be sadly missed but we feel comfort in knowing that she is now at rest with Gren, the love of her life. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gren in 1987. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Gary and her siblings Jo, Mabel, and Bert. Left behind to cherish the memories of our mother and grandmother are daughter Janet Baker (Gordon) of Mississauga, ON, son Bruce (Marilyn) of Winnipeg and five grandchildren: Lynne Thorpe (David), Garth Baker (Michelle), Todd, Cheryl Lowing (Raymond) and Neil (Rachelle). She also has left behind 12 great-grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Cory, Heather (Gary), Nicholas, Sherrie, Shayne, Nicole, Andrew, Erica, Brady and Ella. There are also four great-great-grandchildren, Brianna, Brooke, Tyler and Nathan. Also nieces June Cory (Keith) of Winnipeg, Margaret Taylor (Gord) of Grande Prairie, AB, Janice Lovett (Gerry) of Victoria, BC, and a nephew Doug France (Anna) of Perth, ON. Mom was a member of Sparling United Church for many years. She was actively involved at Sparling as a Sunday School teacher and she was also a long time member of the church choir along with dad. Sparling played a major role in her life over the years and she had many friends in the Weston area through church activities. As a matter of fact she met dad through a United Church young people's group and they were married in 1935. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Oakview Place for all their help, friendship and support over the past year and a half. In keeping with Mom's wishes cremation has already taken place. A private family service and gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's name to the Parkinsons Society of Manitoba, 7 - 414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, MB R2J 1P2 or the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario, payable to SB H, 555 Richmond Street West, P.O. Box 103, Suite 1006, Toronto, ON M5V 3B1. We miss you Mom. NEIL BARDAL INC. FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
