BRUCE ROBERT WILSON February 20, 1951 - November 4, 2010 Peacefully on November 4, 2010 Bruce passed away with his three favourite girls at his side at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 59 years. Bruce was predeceased by his father Lawrence Wilson. Left to cherish Bruce's memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Colleen, two daughters Lauren and Sarah, mother Barbara Wilson, brother Ken (Barb) Wilson, sister Susan (Gary) Slama, nieces and nephews, Lesley (Roger), Geoffrey (Rosanna) and Justin, father and mother-in-law Monte and Jeannette Stolar, brothers-in-law Andy and Craig (Kathy). He will be fondly remembered by numerous friends and colleagues. Bruce's greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and especially our summers at our Gull Lake Cottage. His favourite activity at the cottage was taking his best friend, Max (our golden retriever) for long walks in the bush. Max only got lost once. His second passion was his love of music, which he shared with his daughters. He spent the last year teaching himself how to play the bass guitar. He had a rocker's soul. Celebration of Bruce's life will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. Colleen and the girls would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff on the third floor of the Concordia Hospital who provided support and compassion in helping us in this journey In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bruce's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
