Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN CHOPYK December 10, 1918 - October 29, 2010 On October 29, 2010, Evelyn passed away peacefully in her home at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, Manitoba. Born December 10, 1918 in Vita, Manitoba, Evelyn lived in Vita until 1960 then moved to St. Norbert and worked at the Victoria Hospital until retiring in 1983. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband William, daughter Lucy, grandson Greg Lenchyshyn, her parents Karol and Helena Baraniecki and sisters Anne, Mary, Josie and Pauline. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her children Sally Lenchyshyn (Dennis) and Wilmar Chopyk (Rita); her grandchildren Tracey Martin (John), Tony (Lori), Jamie and Jerry Lenchyshyn, Vanessa, Megan and Stefan Chopyk; and great-grandchildren Natasha Martin, Thomas and Jack Lenchyshyn, along with many friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Evelyn was a kind and gracious lady who dedicated her life to her family and created a warm and loving home. Evelyn loved cooking and family get-togethers and touched the lives of many people with her hospitality and generosity. Evelyn's family has held a memorial service to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers or sympathy cards, please consider making a donation in Evelyn's name to St. Amant, 440 River Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9. The family wishes to extend their appreciation for the care provided by the staff and volunteers at Bethesda Place in Steinbach.
