MICHAEL MCNEIL It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mike McNeil, at the age of 47, on Thursday, November 4, 2010. Mike is survived by his mother Anne; brother Pat (Jo-Anne); nieces Taylor and Sarah; sister Missy Penner (Phil); nephews Cole and Troy and sister Kay (Jamie). He was predeceased by his father Lloyd McNeil. Mike was born October 16, 1963 in Winnipeg. He grew up in Winnipeg and loved summers at Lester Beach. He worked as an electrician at Manitoba Hydro for over 20 years and made many friends and saw the corners of Manitoba. His priority was his family always. When he became sick, this became even more important. He spent his remaining days with family. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba and Seven Oaks General Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Donations may be made in Mike's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society. CROPO FUNERALCHAPEL 586-8044

I moved to the Gimli area about the time Mike bought his house on Netley Creek so I have driven by that house many times.
