GLENYS PARR With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Glenys Parr on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the age of 61. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers David (Gayle), Phil (Shirley), Allan, Stephen (Marcella); nieces Janet Harbottle (Kevin), Kim, Raichel; great-nieces Emma and Zoe Harbottle, and dear friends Karen and Ken Irvine. Always an avid sports fan, Glenys was a spectator at many a sporting event for the children of both friends and family. Special thanks for the love and support of Glenys' many friends of the Boni-Vital Council for Seniors, W.R.H.A., and Youville Centre (Dakota location) where she devoted so many volunteer hours. A celebration of Glenys' life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Glen Lawn Reception Centre, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation. I remember Glenys as a neighbour on McCalman Ave. She would sit on the front step as a toddler with the prettiest of dresses. I ran into her years later after our family had moved away. She helped me save a young girl’s life. I just found out about her passing as my sisters and I were talking about her today. I will always remember her. - Posted by: Gay McLachlan Leonard.
