JOHNNEY JAMES MARTIN (DESCHAMPS) Born September 15, 1952, at Delamere, Ontario, Johnney passed away peacefully on October 5, 2010 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Dearly beloved, and sadly missed, by his wife Lois of 27 years. He was predeceased by his parents, and three brothers (Gary, Kenny, and Rocky) and is survived by his sister, Yvonne (Jake) and three estranged adult children. Gentle of heart, Johnney helped people whenever he could. Sober since 1984, he was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous. A skilled craftsman, Johnney loved cars, camping, fishing and working with his hands. At the time of his death, Johnney was employed by the City of Winnipeg. A memorial service and the interment of his ashes will take place at a date to be determined in 2011. Donations may be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba.
