Mom lived in Teulon all her life except for a brief time during her childhood in Ontario. Mom married dad and lived in Winnipeg for a few years, then came back to Teulon where she raised her family on the family farm. Mom had many jobs during her life. She worked for Gordon Hotel, Old Swiss Chip Factory, Hoisery Mill, goose plant and potato farm in Teulon. She also went up north to Limestone, out east and west for C.P. Rail as a cook. When mom wasn't spending time with her children and grandchildren whether cooking or baking, she loved her Bingo, slot machines and game shows. Mom lived on the family farm right up to February 2010. She finally came into town kicking and screaming, moving into Cedar Lodge where she resided up to her time of passing. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons Curtis, Corey and Colin Chartrand, Bret, Aaron and Garrett Malcolm. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon. A private family funeral will be held on Friday. We would like to thank the paramedics, R.C.M.P., Dr. Grogan and MacKenzie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Teulon Hospital. We love and will miss you mom and grandma Jean. Especially your donuts May you rest in peace. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
