ALVIN JANZEN 1936 - 2010 Alvin Janzen, 74, of Steinbach, passed away November 5, 2010 at the Bethesda Hospital. Alvin was born February 17, 1936 to John and Getruda Janzen at the Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba. He married Bernadette Huberdeau on March 15, 1968 at the Church of Ste. Mary's, Birtle, Manitoba. He leaves to mourn, his wife of 42 years, Bernadette, his sons and their wives, Reginald and Kendra, Keith and Kara, Donald and Kendra, and two grandsons, Kyle and Logan. He also leaves behind one brother, Cornie (Carol), five sisters, Sara Reimer (Aaron), Minnie, Linda (Ernie Penner), Annie (Joe Plett) and Irene, brothers-in-law, John Dueck, Jerry Huberdeau (Jillian), sisters-in-law, Roberta (Arthur Huberdeau) and Nicole Huberdeau. He was predeceased by their first-born child, a daughter, Benita, his parents, John and Getruda Janzen, his parents-in-law, Raoul and Dorothy Huberdeau, two sisters, Thelma (Abe Penner), Tina (John Dueck), two brothers-in-law, Abe G. Penner, Aaron Reimer, and brother-in-law Arthur Huberdeau. We mourn his passing, but are not left without hope. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:18. The funeral will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, MB, with interment at Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery, Blumenort, MB.
