She was predeceased by her parents, Albany Gallant and Denise Bessette; sister Annette Woltman; brother Alban Gallant; sister-in-law Madeleine Gallant; brothers-in-law, Ron Woltman and Marcel Dheere; and niece Morna Woltman. Lorette was born April 13, 1920 in Mariapolis, Manitoba. In her first year of life, Lorette moved with her family to Letellier setting the stage for a life of travel and adventure. Lorette was curious, ambitious and fiercely independent. She worked in the family store, helped her sister Annette with her restaurant and then following school, studied to become an executive secretary. This course took her to careers in Winnipeg, Minneapolis, Churchill and Montreal. Lorette studied Spanish at the University of Mexico City and became fully trilingual. In 1962, she left on a freighter to tour the world and leaves us a wonderful journal of experiences, cultures, people and of course the wonderful bargains she would buy. She visited and experienced five continents. Lorette was an avid bridge player, swimmer, skier and golfed until her early 80s. She made many lasting friendships and would host many dinner parties at her apartment. Wherever she was in life, Lorette would drop everything and put family first. Forever young, Lorette's love for us bridged all ages, and for that we will remember her always. Tu nous manqueras beaucoup. Te queremos, la famille. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the wonderful 4ABC team at Taché for their loving care and respect towards Lorette. Memorial Mass will be held at the St-Pie de Letellier Catholic Church on Thursday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m., Father P. Kasonga celebrant. Interment to follow.
