FLORENCE CISZEWSKI (nee PEMKOWSKI) December 26, 1928 - November 6, 2010 On Saturday, November 6, 2010 Florence passed away peacefully at Health Sciences Centre after a brief battle with breast cancer. Florence will be remembered by her husband of 64 years, Carl; her children and grandchildren: daughter Geraldine Zabudny (Frank), Jennifer (Mark), Caralyn, Julie; son Wayne; daughter Valerie Wolchuk (Bill), Joanne Echlin (Darren), Amanda (Cory); daughter Theresa; daughter Barbara Halabut (Greg); daughter Monica Fletcher (Ben) Brenden, Nathan; son Michael. Florence was born in the Prout area on December 26, 1928 daughter of the late Mary and Mike Pemkowski. She moved to Husavick/ Sandy Hook after her marriage to Carl on October 12, 1946. She raised seven children and had to work hard on the farm as times were tough. In 1997 they retired from the farm moving to Teulon, MB. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her dill pickles; also knitting mitts and slippers for her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with all her family, especially holiday family gatherings for which she made the best holopchi. Mom was a very selfless person, everyone else's needs came first. In her retirement years, she enjoyed fellowship and card games with the ladies at Farview. Florence was predeceased by her brothers Eddy and Walter and infant daughter Christine. Prayers will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Teulon. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. also at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Teulon. Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank doctors and staff that assisted in her care at Teulon Hospital and GA4 at Health Sciences Centre.
