Denis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Irene (Helen), sons, John (Connie) Lachnit and Ken (Rachel) Lachnit and daughter, Linda (Mario) Boily, his grandchildren, Heather and Craig Lachnit and Miguel and Renée Boily. He will be dearly missed by his three sisters, Georgette Nault, Jeanine Werbeniuk and Lorraine Charette, brother-in-law, Gerard Yvon and sister-in-law, Leslie LeBleu along with many nieces and nephews. Denis was predeceased by his mom and dad, Euclide and Maria Lebleu, his brothers, Albert (Lillian), Leo (Elsie) and Rene, his sisters, Bertha (Andrew) Hora, Irene Yvon, Diane Badder, brothers-in-law, Noctaire Nault, Steve Werbeniuk and Steve (Lucille) Sebastyen. Denis worked at various jobs over the years including the lumber and pulp industry, Nelson River Construction, bus driver for the Seine River School Division and also, proprietor of the Woodridge Garage. He was an avid hunter and loved cutting and hauling wood (in his day). Buying and selling cars was a passion and a hobby of his. He also enjoyed a great game of baseball and most of all loved to spend time with Irene playing bingo at Club Regent. Denis took pleasure in spending time with his family and he had a special place in his heart for his four grandchildren. His keen sense of humour has created many wonderful and lasting memories which will continue to be a constant source of comfort to us. A special thank you to Dr. Mark Duerksen and Dr. David Horne, the nurses and staff at Bethesda Hospital for all their care, guidance and compassion. Also, to family and friends for their words of comfort and visits during this difficult time. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the St. Alexandre Parish in Woodridge on Friday, November 12, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with interment in the Woodridge Cemetery.
