CLIFFORD (CLIPPY) RODERICK MOUSSEAU August 28, 1950 - November 8, 2010 It is with great sadness, and extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clippy, at the age of 60. In spite of the hard battle he faced over the past 20 months Clippy's strength, courage, hope and sense of humour helped carry him and his family along. He'd always be reassuring us that everything would be ok by cracking jokes or telling funny stories to turn our tears into laughter. His ability to tell funny stories and make everyone laugh was unique. He loved all people and had many friends of all ages. Even though Clippy was taken from us way too soon, we know that he is now free of pain and suffering, and one day we will all get to hear his laughter again. Clippy will be sadly missed by his mother: Adeline Mousseau, daughter: Shauna (Mike), granddaughter: Shayna (Freddie Jr.) and grandson: Santana; brothers: Stanley, Roy, Bobby (Joanne), Hector (Alma), Roland (Delores), Donnie (Tanya); sisters: Myrtle, Beverly (Harvey), Melva (Mervin), Anita (Trent), Delena (Howard), Francine (Terry); as well as nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to name; very best friend, Diane Dumas, and lifelong friend Georgina. He is also survived by daughters: Terry, Tammy, Jerrica, son James and grandchildren. Predeceased by his father Magnus Mousseau Sr., brother Magnus Mousseau II, infant daughter Alicia Sinclair, nephew Darryl McLean, nieces Angela McLean and Dana Beaulieu, great-niece Charis Mousseau-Richard, grandparents Noah and Veronique Beaulieu, Alexander and Philomene Mousseau, and brother-in-law George McLean. Clippy was born and raised in Sandy Bay. He attended Residential School and furthered his education at Brandon University where he received his Bachelor of Education degree. He taught various grades at Isaac Beaulieu Memorial School, where he was employed for 25 years. Besides teaching Clippy coached sports such as minor hockey, floor hockey and baseball all which he enjoyed immensely. Dad's leisure time was spent on his passions: playing pool, curling, farming, frequenting all the MCC's and/or Goodwill stores around Manitoba, and most of all spending every free moment with his grandchildren Shayna and Santana. Family wants to extend a heartfelt thanks to CancerCare Manitoba, Dr. Gingerich and C. Greaves (RN) for all their compassion and support. A BIG thank you to W.R.H.A. for providing Dad with such kind and caring homecare workers and nurses. As well, the fantastic staff at Riverview Health Centre who made dad's stay comfortable and welcoming. Dr. L. Smith and all the wonderful staff at Dakota Medical for the tremendous care and support provided to us during this time. A huge thank you to Jocelyn House Hospice, it truly was a home away from home for Dad - you are truly amazing people. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jocelyn House Hospice. Wake services will commence at the Sandy Bay Complex on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday November 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Roy George officiating. Active pallbearers: Stanley, Roy, Bobby, Hector, Roland and Donnie. All of Clippy's family, friends, former colleagues, godchildren, Diane Dumas, Georgina, Terry (Fe Fe) and Mason are considered honorary pallbearers. Clarkes Funeral Home, Gladstone in care of arrangements. www.clarkesfuneralhome.com
