Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANASTASIA URBANIK (nee SZUL) March 24, 1917 - November 7, 2010 On Sunday, my dear mother Anastasia passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 93 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marilyn Richards-McLellan (Donald), grandchildren Lisa Richards, T.J. Richards (Suzanne), three great-grandchildren T.J., Alex and Pierce all from Southern California, her brother Andrew Szul, niece Ana Weretyk (Emil), nephew Dr. Michael Szul, and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1986. Anastasia was born in Poland, immigrated to France where she met and married John. They moved to Caracas, immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. She was a very religious, amazing person. She loved to cook and entertain with family and friends. Everyone was welcome at her home. Marilyn would like to thank all the family and her friends, especially Jeannette for all their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford St. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
