FRANCES MUSTARD (nee WATKINS) June 25, 1921 November 9, 2010 It is with the greatest of sorrow that the family announces the passing of their dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Mom was the last survivor in her family having been predeceased by her parents and siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John (Shirley), Fred, daughters Marian, Pam (Kirk), Nancy and daughter-in-law Linda. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, memories of them which she held dear to her heart until the end of her time. She will be sadly missed by her special friend Carla, with whom she found comfort and joy, as she was her guiding light throughout the years. Mom showed each of us her strength, courage, wisdom, determination and patience throughout, never complaining and always smiling when she could. Her caring and nurturing ways were always displayed to us even though she was the one that was ill. We were so privileged to have been taught these valuable lessons. She was a true mother to the end. Mom worked for the T. Eaton Company for several years. She went on to raise her family and although times were tough during the years, Mom could always manage to put together a feast to provide for us and for those that dropped by for Sunday suppers. Mom went on to take a bookkeeping course and returned to work for the Manitoba Government in 1973 until her retirement in 1988. Mom was a true artist displaying her many pieces of oil paintings and woodcarvings. Her passion for animals was ever so great, saving many a stray animal that came to her for care. She devoted her time to nurture not only the stray animals that needed help but also her very own precious animals. She was a wonderful lady who gave unconditional love but kept many things private. You were truly blessed if she shared her stories with you. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the care givers on 5E at the St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and caring help throughout Mom's difficult time. As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9. I believe in Angels because the Angels believe in me
