Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE WESLEY ADDY It is with great sadness and a heavy heart we announce the passing of beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle, George Addy on Thursday, November 11, 2010. George was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on July 12, 1957 and then moved to the Anola area with his family in 1969. George loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. George discovered a love of mountain biking and loved to go trail riding as often as possible at Birds Hill Park and Falcon Lake. He was a crossword puzzle fanatic and chess fiend and enjoyed challenging his chess buddies at work. Another favourite pastime of his was car racing. He enjoyed going to the Speedway and was a huge fan of NASCAR. He also loved gardening and working in his yard. A self taught carpenter and handyman, he was proud of the renovation he did on his 100 year old home with his wife. George worked at New Flyer Industries for 16 years until his illness. George is survived by his wife Annette (Pawluk); and sons, Jordan and Nicholas; parents, Bill and Jean Addy; brother Bill (Susan); and nephew and niece, Bill and Stephanie. Prayers will be said on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church, Cooks Creek. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., also at the church with Rev. Fr. Taras Kowch officiating. Interment will be in church cemetery following cremation at a later date. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Beausejour Hospital, Health Sciences Centre GD4 ward, and the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in George's memory to St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. Grant him eternal rest O Lord. VICHNAYA PAMYAT
