RAYMOND FOGG Another page in The Book of Fogg's has ended with the sudden passing of Raymond Stephen Fogg, 81 years old, on October 30, 2010 at the Concordia Hospital. He was a long time resident of Oakview Place. Raymond is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, his parents Stanley G. and Maud Kennett Fogg, older brothers Callum, Stanley and Melville, nephews Reg Fogg of Toledo, Ohio, and John D. Kapusta of Richmond, BC and Lima, Peru. Left to cherish many memories is his sister Joy (John) Kapusta, nephews Sean (Rhonda) Kapusta, Gary (Audrey) Fogg, Tod (Melinda) Fogg of Michigan and Robert Fogg of Las Vegas, nieces Kathy Kapusta and Shauna Kapusta (Yugesh), great nieces and nephews Miranda Fogg, Alaysha Rocan, Brandy Kapusta, Nathan Rocan, Dustin Ewanyshyn, John Robert Kapusta. Ray was born in 1928 on Rutland Street, in St. James, MB (a true Blue Blood ). He was very active in sports, baseball, and lacrosse for Deer Lodge CC and the Winnipeg Olympics Sr. Team, and hockey for numerous teams (the Sioux Hawks, Calgary Buffaloes, and Trail, BC are just a few). Upon joining the Navy, he also played there. His love of horses had him working at Polo Park Race Track at an early age and traveling with them. He settled into Vancouver and Whistler, BC in the early 50's and returned to Winnipeg in 1956. Ray married Elizabeth Yakimishyn in 1958 and began working for The Winnipeg Hydro Co. as a linesman until retirement. They spent their summers in their trailer at the Stonewall Camp Grounds and golfing at the Teulon Country Club. In winter, they became Snow Birds traveling to Texas and Arizona. They were long time active members of the Royal Canadian Legion #4 Branch on Portage Ave., in St. James. Many thanks to the staff at Oakview Place for their years of kindness and dedication, to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their support, to Mark Reimer and Jim Haddad of Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and to Major Brian Slous, Corps Officer/Pastor, for all his kindness and dedication and for being our ROCK in a time of need. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday evening, November 19, 2010 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the #4 Legion, 1755 Portage Ave., St. James. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
