DONALD JOHN MELONEY Donald John Meloney passed away suddenly on November 8, 2010 at the Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg with his wife and family by his side. Donald was born December 18, 1947 to Roy and Jean Meloney. Donald married Darline Dicks of Teulon on September 12, 1970. Donald is survived by his loving wife Darline; daughter Dara-Lea (Gerry) Hanna; son Darcy (Jennifer); mother Jean Meloney; sister Helen (Ed) Drohomereski; grandchildren Raelyn, Ryland, Rielle, Randen and Rainna Hanna, and Colt and DJ Meloney; sister-in-law Maureen Stutsky; and brother-in-law Darryll (Janis) Dicks. He is also survived by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his father Roy; his parents-in-law Garnet and Margaret Dicks and also numerous aunts, uncles and brothers-in-law. Donald enjoyed spending time driving his truck, and working on his farm. He spent many years travelling the highways from coast-to-coast, and through the States. He enjoyed get-togethers with his family and friends. He held a special place in his heart for his family and was always interested to hear what was going on in their lives. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the ICU in Concordia Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gladstone United Church with Rev. Heather Lea officiating. Interment will follow at the Gladstone Cemetery.
