NORMAND GEORGES LAURENT Peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 10, 2010 at the Portage District General Hospital, Normand Georges Laurent of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of Janice Laurent passed away at the age of 41 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Bill Parrack officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Norm was born in St. Claude on December 14, 1968 to Georges and Yvonne Laurent. He graduated from St. Claude Complex in 1987 and became a baker. On August 30, 1997 he married Janice Campbell. Norm worked as a baker for Safeway and the last three years for Sobeys. He loved camping, quadding, snowmobiling, working on computers and spending time with family and friends. Normand was predeceased by his father Georges, and grandparents. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Janice, children Alex and Emma, mother Yvonne, brother Robert (Suann) of Regina, SK, Louise (Dan) DeLorme of Portage la Prairie, nieces Danica and Jenny, nephews Devin and Kevin, aunts, uncles and many friends.
