FLORENCE ANNE WOLOWICH (nee SWETZ) July 26, 1940 - November 10, 2010 On Wednesday, November 10, 2010 after a very busy day of visiting family and friends, Florence passed away peacefully at the early age of 70 at the Beausejour Hospital. Florence will be sadly missed by her very special and dear friend Clarence McCutcheon; her children, Gwen Yakiwchuk (Ernie) of Winnipeg, John (Susan) of Tyndall; grand-children, Jessica, Justin and Brandon Yakiwchuk, Anthony, Kevin, Riley and Hayley Wolowich; sisters, Barbara Shannon (Ken), Beverley Hnatyshyn (Allen); brothers, Russell, Raymond, Richard and Allen (Irene); as well by nieces, nephews and many friends, especially her dearest friend Irene and her pooch Pookie. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel; mother Rosie; father Roman; sister Linda; brothers, Brian, Lawrence; and her stepfather August Radar. Mom was born on July 26, 1940 in Selkirk, MB. She married Dan on September 2, 1961 and they lived in Winnipeg for 13 years before moving to the farm outside of Tyndall. Widowed at a young age, she moved to Beausejour, MB in 1989. Mom loved animals, bingo, gardening, garage sales, cooking, visiting friends and family and especially the smorg at Lee's restaurant. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 530 Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour, MB with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves, presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Tyndall, MB. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff from both St. Boniface and Beausejour Hospitals and to the Home Care providers for their compassionate care over the last eight weeks. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
