Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRIX ANGELA HANIS (TRIXIE) August 20, 1969 - November 9, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the very sudden passing of Trixie Hanis (nee Miller) at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, beloved wife and sweetheart of Ronald Hanis. She will be so sadly missed by her husband, Ronald Hanis of Winnipeg, her parents, Dave and Elaine Miller; her sister Kim and husband Wayne Chura, her brother Brian Miller, all of Teulon, MB; and her brother Peter Dorowsky and wife Carol of Winnipeg; Ron's mother, Adeline Hanis of Winnipeg, Ron's brothers Lorne and Greta Hanis of Vancouver, Raymond and Annette Hanis of Winnipeg, Don and Valerie Hanis of Vancouver, Ken Hanis of Vancouver, Larry Hanis of Winnipeg, Wayne Hanis and Anita Canan of Vancouver, Al Hanis of Winnipeg, Ron's two sisters, Jeanne Hanis Al-Sultan and Muhammad Al-Sultan of Winnipeg, Yvonne and Brian Valen of Teulon, and dear friends Gordon and Diana Boychuk of Balmoral, MB, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Trixie was born August 20, 1969 and was raised in Teulon, MB. She married Ronald Hanis on July 21, 1990 and they had 20 beautiful years together. They were husband and wife, sweethearts and best friends. She loved to be with her very large family, tormenting her brothers-in-law, watching her favourite T.V. shows, cruising with her sweetheart to all of their favourite places. Trixie's smile and especially her laughter will be forever branded in our hearts. She was loved so very much by so very many people. Our heavens will forever be brighter by one more glorious star. Her husband Ron would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their tireless efforts and dedication to Trixie while she was a patient there. Private Family Service. Beatrix Angela One year ago you said, be there for me, I need you. One year ago our prayers were not answered. One year ago God longed for the creation of his hands, he called and you answered. You waited for me, before you left, I whispered in your ear, it's ok, just let go. One year ago I saw you fly away, cuddled in the arms of a beautiful angel. Angels carry us to Heaven, our scriptures say. Many were waiting for you on that day. Many cried out for joy, saying "here she comes"! I just stood there, void and numb, in shock and disbelief of what had just happened. I struggle without you, it's hard to carry on, I am so lonely, will my heart ever mend? There is an open door before me, but I am scared to walk through. This door will shut behind me, I am forced to face what's new. One year ago I died with you, I will never be the same.
