HELEN MAY SIMPSON August 6, 1926 November 8, 2010 Sadly we announce the passing of Helen May Simpson. As a wife, mother, grandma and friend, Helen has left a legacy of love and generosity that will not be forgotten. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Valerie (John), Jim (Susan), Robert (Charlene) and her only grandchild, Lindsay. She was predeceased by her husband George on March 11, 1996. Helen was born and raised in Winnipeg and married George in October 1950. They enjoyed travelling, raising their children and supporting the Blue Bombers. She first and foremost enjoyed being surrounded by her family, whether it was sitting around the table playing cards (and winning), enjoying the campfire at our Simpson family lake weekend, or spoiling us at Christmas. We are forever rich in her memories. Our appreciation is extended to the Oakview Place personal care home for their dedication in caring for our mother. A private family memorial service has been planned. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice is appreciated.
