RACHELLE REGNIER Peacefully after a long illness Rachelle (Arpin) Régnier died on November 13, 2010 at Taché Centre. She was born February 13, 1912 in Lorette, MB. Rachelle was predeceased by her husband, Laurier Arthur Régnier (1990) and by her parents, Raphaël and Eva Arpin. She leaves to mourn her nephews, Peter, Charles and Ralph Arpin, a niece Mary Arpin, her two children, and sister-in-law, Solange Régnier, as well as many other nephews, nieces and friends. Rachelle was a great help to her husband during his 50 years as a lawyer and in his duties as Conservative M.P. for the Constituency of St. Boniface in Ottawa (1958 to 1962). Rachelle herself was elected as Secretary of the Parliamentary Wives Association. For many years she was also active as a member of Centre Taché's Auxiliary. All who come in touch with Rachelle were touched with her joie de vivre. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the Centre Taché personnel for their compassionate care as well as to Father A. Piché, O.M.I., chaplain, to Dr. P. Erhard and to the religious for their caring support. Our appreciation also goes out to the many volunteers and to all who visited Tante Rachelle. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2010 followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedral with Father Marcel Damphousse officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Centre Taché, 185 Despins Street, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2B3 or to a charity of your choice.
