He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Kevin (Shian), Leo (Dawn); grandchildren, Jessica, Kirstin, Kjirstiana (KJ), Joshua and Doris Bérard, a special friend for whom Dad cared deeply. Also left to cherish Dad's memory are his brothers, Chuck (Rachel), Norm (Aline); sisters, Madeline (Guy), Mitch (Dave) and in-laws, Helen Sarrasin, Eugene, Ron (Brenda), David (Susie), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gerry will also be missed by his friends, neighbours and co-workers. Gérald was predeceased by his wife, Karen (née Sarrasin) and his parents, Léo and Hortense Gautron. Gérald was born and raised in St. Pierre. He worked for Bérard Shell, St. Pierre Motors and for Luc Bérard Custom Harvesting. Since 1983, he's been employed by Centennial Gravel and Excavating. Gerry enjoyed hockey but his favourite pastime was always tinkering under the hood of any vehicle. He was never satisfied until everything ran perfect. Gerry always found the time and energy to help others. Gerry's generosity and inability to say no to anyone will be missed by all.
