GERARD (GERRY) BISSON 1943 - 2010 Gerry passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 67. Left to cherish Gerry's memory is his loving wife, Betty; his children, Bradford, Roger (Lisa), Bernice (Dave), Denise (Denis); step-children, Jamie (Gail), David (Marci), JJ (Lyndsay), Sharda (Kyle). He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren, Brie-Anne, Alexander, Randi, Dylan, Erin, John, Eric, Luc, Robert, James, Katie, Ben, Kayleigh, Alyster, Sadie and Dylan. Gerry will also be missed by his brother Ronald (Claudette); and sisters, Marguerite, Dianne (René), Robin (Matt); as well as his best buddy Rudy, butler Norm, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gerry is predeceased by his parents, Stan and Theodora (nee Fisette); his brothers, Francois and Stan; his sister Jeanne; and recently his brother-in-law Paul. Gerry's first priority was family. He was very close to his brothers and sisters, he would do anything for his kids and stepkids and loved his wife Betty deeply. Gerry was thrilled to open his home to family and friends for dinners and celebrations. Gerry loved to spend his weekends with Betty and Rudy at the cottage. In his spare time, Gerry had renovated his home from top to bottom with his own hands and own designs there were few things that Gerry could not make or fix. Gerry led by example and instilled in all of his kids that life is what you make it and he had a gift for seeing the potential in people. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, incredible sense of humour, his deep generosity, his honest advice and most of all his ability to make the worst situations laughable. He couldn't pass up an incredible bargain, whether it was at a garage sale or at Princess Auto and always found a perfect use for each good deal. Gerry will be fondly remembered for his passion for the art of a sale - when he was the seller. A memorial service to celebrate Gerry's life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Taché Centre (431 Taché Avenue N5072, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 2A6, ph. 235-2152) Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
