BEN SCARFF August 19, 1922 - November 16, 2010 On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, Benjamin George Scarff (Ben) passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife of 59 years, Helen, and their children, Pat (Jim) Hayes, Sheila (Eric) Hayes, Ross (Andrea) Scarff and Ken (Irene) Scarff. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Ian (Morgan) Hayes and Leah (Josh) Klassen; Stephen, Jason and Carolyn Hayes; Ashley (Dan) Reeve, Rachel, Brettony and Brennan Scarff; Nathan, Aaron, Ethan, Naomi and Bethany Scarff; and his great-grandchildren, Hayley and Ariel Reeve, Everett Klassen and Willow Hayes. Ben was predeceased by his great-grandson Jay Benjamin Klassen in 2008. Ben faithfully attended St. James Gospel Chapel his entire life - from being carried in the arms of his parents until the present. Sincere thanks to the caregivers at the Grace Hospital, 3 North for their kindness and compassion. A memorial service will be held at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place prior to the service. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission, Box 1073 STN. Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2X4, or a charity of one's choice.
