GLORIA ANDRONAK (nee PETERSON) Sadly on November 11, 2010, Gloria Andronak passed away peacefully at the age of 80 while in palliative care at the St. Boniface Hospital after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She will be lovingly missed by her son Brian Andronak (Karen); daughter Linda Erickson (Garry); grandchildren, Lindsey Andronak and Brett Andronak; sister Ruth Chambers (Steve); and brother Runo Peterson (Nikki) and many other relatives and friends. Gloria was predeceased by her mother Jenny Peterson; father Nick Peterson; and brothers, Henning Peterson and George Peterson. Gloria was born February 9, 1930 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who always put the people she loved before herself. She took great pleasure in spending time with her family and friends. She spent her retirement years playing bridge, bingo and swimming at the Pan Am pool with her very dear friends, as well as travelling to the Shooting Star Casino with her daughter. Gloria will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humour and the stories she told. Family and friends are invited to attend a come and go memorial in celebration of Gloria's life, Monday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. An interment will follow. The family would like to thank all who offer their condolences at this time and the wonderful staff of the palliative care ward at the St. Boniface Hospital for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gloria's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.
